Newsie
Nearly five months after its release, EXID’s “Up And Down” finally moves up to the top spot on our chart this week. It is the group’s first ever No. 1 song. As mentioned last week, this song became popular after a fancam of member Hani went viral on the internet. “Up And Down” also won on M!Countdown, Music Bank, and Inkigayo last week. Congratulations to EXID! G-Dragon and Taeyang’s “Good Boy” moves up to a distant second behind “Up And Down” this week. “Good Boy” has been “up and down” the top 10 in the past few weeks, but has never been higher than No. 3 until this week. Rounding out the top three is A Pink’s former No. 1 hit “LUV.” This is no brand new song in the top 10 this week. As usual, January is the slowest month of the year in K-pop. But looking ahead to next week, there are at least two new songs that should crack into the top 10. SHINee’s Jonghyun has released his first mini-album “Base.” The title song “Deja-Boo” debuts at No. 13 this week. Also, rapper Mad Clown has his latest hit “Fire” debuting at No. 17 this week. Watch out for these two songs next week. [chart id="215" items_limit="50" detailed_items="10"] About the Soompi Music Chart: Soompi Music Chart is unlike any other music chart or television ranking.
