Girl’s Day’s Hyeri to Step Down as MC of MTV's “The Show” to Focus on Acting

It has been announced that Girl’s Day member Hyeri will no longer take part in hosting SBS MTV’s weekly music program “The Show.” On January 15, a representative of Girl’s Day’s agency, Dream Tea Entertainment, revealed, “Hyeri has decided to step down from ‘The Show Season 4’ due to her filming schedules for the SBS drama ‘Hyde, Jekyll, Me.’ She plans to focus on her acting promotions through ‘Hyde, Jekyll, Me’ and JTBC’s ‘Seonam Girls High School Investigators’ for the time being.” The Girl’s Day member will be taking on the role of Min Woo Jung in “Hyde, Jekyll, Me,” which is scheduled to premiere on January 21. Meanwhile, Hyeri first joined “The Show” as a MC in October of 2013 and will be participating in her final recording this coming January 20.
