SBS' celebrity home-sharing variety program "Roommate" will be airing a special spin-off episode for the Korean New Year in February. An SBS personnel told Star News on January 7, "We are currently preparing a one-episode spin-off special for the Korean New Year." The production staff has also allegedly begun searching for new cast members, although no new members have been confirmed as of yet. Previously, a media outlet reported that the last filming for the season two of "Roommate" has been scheduled for February 25, hinting at a possible cancellation of the program. They also stated that the main producer of the show may be leaving. However, representatives from "Roommate" denied this claim, stating, "We have not scheduled the final filming like the source has said. We don't even have a filming scheduled for February 25, so we have no idea how this news came about."
