Newsie
JTBC has announced that it aims to have historical drama “Maids” return to the screen by mid-January, with the filming of new episodes beginning around the same time. If this outlook holds true, the show will have been off the air for five consecutive weeks due to a fire that damaged its set and killed one of its staffers in mid-December. “A meeting regarding the return of 'Maids' to the air is being held today (January 5). Further details of the show’s return will be announced once the meeting has been completed,” a JTBC representative stated. They then went on to say that the network hoped to have the show back on the air by mid-January, but that there were still problems with the set that needed to be dealt with. According to today’s program listings, JTBC will air reruns of “Abnormal Summit” and “Children, The Life's Greatest Blessing” in “Maids’” usual time-slot. The fire that damaged the “Maids” set occurred December 13 when approximately 59 of the show’s 73-person staff were out to eat. While 13 of the remaining 14 staffers were able to safely escape, one was unable to make it out and passed away in the blaze.View the full article
