BEAST, GOT7, and BTS Lead Popularity Voting at 2014 Golden Disk Awards

Male groups BEAST, GOT7, and BTS are leading in the race at their respective categories in the 2014 Golden Disk Awards. As of December 31, the three said male groups are leading in the voting for the categories that they are nominated in: BEAST in the Digital Song category, GOT7 in the Best New Artist category, and BTS in the Best Album category. BTS BTS' "Dark & Wild" album leads the Best Album category with 24.68% of the votes (3,045 total votes), followed by Taemin's "Ace" with 20.21% (2,494 total votes). EXO's "Overdose" follows in third place while B1A4's "Who Am I" is at fourth place. Finally, Super Junior's "MAMACITA" is at fifth place. BEAST For the Digital Song category, BEAST leads with their song "Good Luck" which garnered a total of 37.69% of the votes (1,383 total votes). It is followed by EXO's "Overdose" with 21.15% (total of 776 votes). Girls' Generation's "Mr. Mr." is at third place followed by CNBLUE's "Can't Stop" and VIXX's "Eternity" in fourth and fifth place. GOT7 As for the Best New Artist category, GOT7 leads the pack with their single "A" which garnered a total of 51.94% of the votes (total of 5,559 votes). WINNER is at a close second with 45.36% of the votes (total of 4,855 votes). The other artists such as Bernard Park, Red Velvet, and Akdong Musician, who are in third, fourth, and fifth place, are eclipsed by these two artists. The 2014 Golden Disk Awards is scheduled to take place over a span of two days, from January 14 to 15, at the Master Card Center located in Beijing. In previous years, this awards show has also been held overseas in Osaka, Japan, as well as Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
