BIGBANG Tops Japanese Charts with Compilation Album

Boy band BIGBANG has been enjoying chart success in Japan following the release of a compilation album entitled “The Best of BIGBANG 2006-2014.” The album, which was released on November 26, has shot straight to the top of the Oricon Album Charts, and has already sold in excess of 93,000 copies. The album has sold over 80,000 copies more than the current Number Two-placed album, “Best” by Japanese rock group Sypair. “The Best of BIGBANG 2006-2014” contains Japanese versions of a number of popular BIGBANG hits, such as “Fantastic Baby” and “Monster,” as well as the track “Let Me Hear Your Voice,” a hit for the boys in 2011 that was featured on a popular Japanese drama series. BIGBANG2 The group played at a concert in the Japanese city of Nagoya on November 15. BIGBANG is set to return to Japan in January 2015, when the act will begin on a tour of Japan that will see it play at 15 concerts in five cities.
