According to the ratings recorded by Nielsen Korea as of October 28, the third episode of tvN’s “Liar Game,” which aired on October 27, recorded a rating of 0.9 percent. Compared to the second episode’s 1.05 percent rating, there was a plunge of 0.15 percent. Eventually, the drama ranked number 25 among other shows on cable channels. The rating pattern is also similar to that of the previous drama, “My Secret Hotel,” which recorded 0.96 percent for the first episode, 1.36 percent for the second, and 1.0 percent for the third episode. Meanwhile, “Liar Game” is based off of a Japanese manga of the same name by Kaitani Shinobu. The dramatized Korean version turned the concept of the game into a television reality show, and received much praise for its changes that fit better into the style of Korean dramas. On the latest episode, Da Jung (Kim So Eun) and Woo Jin (Lee Sang Yoon) entered the next round of the game, which required them to play a “minority (rather than majority) game.” “Liar Game” is a collaboration project between director Kim Hong Seon, who directed OCN’s “Hero” and MBC’s “Warrior Baek Dong Soo,” and writer Ryu Yong Jae, who wrote the drama “Time Between Dog and Wolf.” Also starring alongside Kim So Eun and Lee Sang Yoon are Shin Sung Rok and Jo Jae Yoon. The drama airs every Monday and Tuesday on tvN. Who’s a fan of this drama? [tv]You can catch up with “Liar Game” on SoompiTV![/tv]
