Epik High’s “Shoebox” Dominating Music Charts

Rap outfit Epik High has surged to the top of music charts following the release of the act’s eighth studio album “Shoebox.”

Tracks from the album raced straight to the summit of several music charts after it dropped at midnight on October 21.

Figures released by chart compilers at 8 a.m. on the same day showed that the song “Happen Ending”  had hit Number One on the Melon, Mnet, Genie, Olleh Music, Soribada, Naver Music, Daum Music, and Bugs charts.

“Shoebox” comprises a total of 12 tracks. In the case of the Mnet chart, every single place in the top 12 was occupied by tracks from the album. Meanwhile, the top 11 in five other charts were all Epik High tracks from the new release.

Members Tablo and Mithra Jin took to Twitter to thank fans for their support, posting the messages, “Thank you for giving us the chance to make music again. We love you!” and “Thanks to everyone who encouraged us and waited for us to return. Epik High is back!"
