Girl group SISTAR has been confirmed as one of the acts that will perform at the closing ceremony of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games. The news was confirmed by the group’s talent agency, Starship Entertainment. According to the Asian Games’ official blog, SISTAR will be joined at the event (which will be held on October 4 at 6 p.m.) by boy bands CNBLUE and BIGBANG. SISTAR explained, “It is a great honor to be asked to play on such a historic stage as this.” K-Pop has been a recurring theme in this year’s Asian Games, as acts such as PSY and JYJ performed at the opening ceremony, and JYJ also recorded the games’ official theme song. SISTAR has recently enjoyed chart success with the songs “Touch My Body” and I Swear,” while member Soyu is currently promoting a collaborative effort with Urban Zakapa entitled “The Space Between.” See also: Seungri Back in Hospital with High Fever, Unable to Attend Incheon Asian Games Closing Ceremony
