Newsie
Recently released songs by male group BTS and solo artist Hwayobi have been banned by broadcast company KBS. According to the review results, four songs from BTS' new album "Dark&Wild" are not suitable for all audiences, and were thus deemed unfit for broadcast. The songs in question are "Second Grade," "Look Here," "Turn Off Your Phone" and "BTS Cypher PT.3 : KILLER (Feat. Supreme Boi)." "Second Grade" did not make the cut due to its vulgar language, whereas the lyrics of "Look Here" include names of easily recognizable brands, such as Lamborghini. "Turn Off Your Phone" was banned due to mentioning Lotto, which can refer to a specific product. Finally, "BTS Cypher PT.3 : KILLER (Feat. Supreme Boi)" was criticized for the use of inappropriate expressions and brand names. As for Hwayobi, her latest single "Beauty Up Close (feat. Wutan)" was rejected due to the expression "like a blind person," which can be considered offensive towards visually impaired people.
