Son Ye Jin Declines Role in Historical Drama "The King's Face"

Actress Son Ye Jin has ultimately declined an offer to lead the upcoming historical drama "The King's Face." 

Previously, it was reported that KBS has been eyeing Son Ye Jin for a leading role in its drama about King Gwanghae's life. 

However, Son Ye Jin's agency MS Team announced on August 12, "Although she was considered for the drama, Son Ye Jin's next project will be a film." 

"The King's Face" will air on KBS starting this November, after the completion of "Iron Man." "Iron Man" will follow the currently airing drama "The Joseon Gunman."  Lee Sung Jae and Seo In Guk are currently considering roles in the series. 

Meanwhile, Son Ye Jin's latest summer blockbuster "The Pirates" opened in theaters on August 6. She played a pirate captain in the high-budget film.
