Winner’s “Empty” Races to Number 1 Spot on Nine Charts

Recommended Posts

Rookie boy band Winner has stormed to the top of nine different music charts following the midnight release of its debut album, “2014 S/S.” Within only a few hours of its release, the track “Empty,” one of two lead singles from the album, was confirmed to have made Number 1 on charts compiled by Melon, Mnet, Genie, Olleh Music, Soribada, Monkey3, Bugs Music, Daum Music and Naver Music. The album also contains another lead track, titled “Color Ring,” which claimed the Number 2 spot on most charts.

Eight other songs, including two solo performances, are also included on the album.

The group’s chart success will come as a great relief for the five-piece, who have had to wait a considerable amount of time to release their studio album debut. Fans will now be eager to see the group’s performances, and will get the chance to see them live when they appear at the “AIA Real Life: Now Festival”with other YG Entertainment artists on August 15 at Seoul’s Jamsil Sports Complex.

If you have not yet seen the videos for the boys' title tracks, you can check them out here.
