The X Factor Australia 2013 winner Dami Im released the music video for her second official single, "Gladiator" on August 8 through VEVO on YouTube.

In the song "Gladiator," Dami Im sings of a girl's thoughts about wanting to make a boy fall in love with her and fighting for his love "like a gladiator" in the powerful track with a mid-tempo beat.

According to an interview with the Sydney Confidential, the entertainment section of The Daily Telegraph, the 25-year-old Korean-born Australian singer said, "When I wrote this song [with co-writer Trinity] it’s about a girl wanting to make a boy fall in love with her...but it’s also got a different meaning, a hidden meaning, about fighting for yourself, for your own love and confidence."

With encouragement and confidence as the main themes of the song "Gladiator," the music video follows through with this message as Dami Im transforms into a princess who summons a young girl with a pure heart to find the other half of the sacred medallion that has the Korean words for "gladiator." The girl then trains and grows up to be a warrior who will vanquish evil from the kingdom and rescue the princess in the end.

"Gladiator" is Dami Im's follow-up single to her smash hit "Super Love" which was released on May 16, 2014.

Meanwhile, Dami Im is currently working on her second full-length album which is scheduled for release later this year.
