Fans Overwhelm EXO-L's Servers on First Day of Fanclub Application

EXO's popularity was proven once again thanks to their EXO-L who brought traffic to the fanclub website servers.

Following SM Entertainment's announcement with the official fanclub name this afternoon, fans of the popular boy group brought down the website servers with the amazing amount of fans trying to apply to become a part of EXO-L ever since the website opened at 12noon KST.

SM Entertainment said: "We have thoroughly estimated (the amount of participants) however, we were surprised that it's more than what we expected. We're doing our best to fix the problems as we speak. We want t express our gratitude to everyone who participated."

Aside from the crashing servers, "EXO-L" and other related terms also topped search rankings upon announcement of the fanclub name and application guidelines.
