New Sageuk Drama "The King's Face" Eyes Son Ye Jin For Lead Role

The sageuk drama "The King's Face" is considering top Hallyu star and "The Pirates" actress Son Ye Jin to be its lead actress.

"The King's Face," which is confirmed as the follow-up series to the KBS 2TV drama "Iron Man" according to a KBS representative, will focus on King Gwanghae's days as crown prince. The upcoming historical drama is currently eyeing Son Ye Jin to play the role of the lead actress who is loved by the ancestors and by King Gwanghae as well. 

"The King's Face" will air on November following the KBS 2TV Wednesday-Thursday drama "Iron Man." "Iron Man" is the follow-up drama to "The Joseon Gunman" which is currently airing.

Meanwhile, Son Ye Jin's new movie, "The Pirates," will premiere tomorrow, August 6. In the movie, Son Ye Jin plays the role of Yeo Wol, the leader of a pirate ship that will race a group of bandits in search of the great seal that was swallowed by a whale.
