BEAST’s Kikwang Updates Fans on His Condition Following Ankle Injury

Earlier this week, it was reported that BEAST’s Kikwang had been rushed to the hospital after injuring his ankle during a soccer match while filming for the KBS variety show “Our Neighborhood Arts and Physical Education” (also known as “Cool Kiz on the Block”).

On August 1, Kikwang left a message on his personal Instagram account to reassure fans who have been showing concern, that he is well on his way to recovery. He wrote, “Receiving treatment again today..Let’s get rid of the swelling!!!!!” along with a picture of his injured ankle during a rehab session.

The injury occurred on July 30, when the ball hit his right ankle in the middle of a friendly opening soccer game with the cast of “Our Neighborhood Arts and Physical Education,” who was playing against the FC Seoul players, called the FC Seoul “Old Star” team. He expressed pain after colliding with the ball and was immediately taken to the hospital.

After receiving a thorough examination, it was revealed that there was no damage to the bone. However, he was told to wear a half cast for the time being, due to the damage to his ligament.
