BEAST Lee Gikwang Assures Fans That He Is Okay After Injury

Following news of his injury on July 30, BEAST’s Lee Gikwang posted on his Twitter, “We’re out for the season.. I’m doing okay. I’ll do my best at rehab! Don’t worry too much~~”

Cube Entertainment said, "The appropriate emergency treatment was applied, and he safely arrived at the hospital."

Lee Gikwang was injured during filming for the KBS variety show “Cool Kiz on the Block.” The cast of “Cool Kiz on the Block” were participating in a friendly opening game of the FC Seoul 30th Anniversary event. They were up against former FC Seoul players, called the FC Seoul “Old Star” team. Lee Gikwang was playing soccer as part of the “Cool Kiz on the Block” team when the ball hit his right ankle. He expressed pain after being hit and was immediately taken to the hospital.

Also participating as part of the “Cool Kiz on the Block” team were Kang Ho Dong, fellow BEAST member Yoon Doojoon,SHINee‘s Minho, and former FC Seoul member and national athlete, Lee Young Pyo.
