Kim Hyun Joong Tops the Oricon Weekly Charts

Recommended Posts

The reaction in Japan is hot in regards to Kim Hyun Joong's fourth single album which was recently released.

On June 18, Kim Hyun Joong released his single album and placed first on the Oricon Daily Chart, and on June 24 the single album topped the Oricon Weekly Chart. This is the second time Kim Hyun Joong has accomplished the feat, as his second single album "HEAT" topped the weekly chart in July 2012.

This would be the second time a foreign soloist topped the weekly charts for a second time, as Ouyang Fei Fei achieved this feat in 1983 with "Love Is Over." This is the first time that a foreign male soloist has accomplished this feat.

A Japanese record representative analyzed Kim Hyun Joong's success by stating "After Kim Hyun Joong made his official debut in Japan in 2012, he has steadily done activities for his albums, participated in Japanese tours, and gathered sympathy from his fans, so the result is that he established a new record on the Oricon charts. Kim Hyun Joong is an artist growing through his new album "Hot Sun" which shows his ability and charms, so the album is able to garner a lot of interest."

Currently the orders for "Hot Sun" are continuing, as there is a shortage of albums in stores. It is expected that the hot response towards the album will continue.

Kim Hyun Joong is working on his album activities and looking for his comeback project.
