Actor Hong Jong Hyun Confirmed to Star Alongside Song Yoon Ah in New Drama “Fearless Mama”

Actor Hong Jong Hyun has been cast in the upcoming MBC weekend drama titled “Fearless Mama” (tentative English title).

According to MBC on June 23, Hong Jong Hyun will be taking on the role of Goo Ji Sub, who is the son of an interior company CEO, as well as a photographer.

The actor, who has been gaining much popularity after joining “We Got Married” as Girl’s Day Yura’s virtual husband, will play the younger man who falls in love with the female lead character, Han Seung Hee (played by Song Yoon Ah).

People are anticipating how Hong Jong Hyun, who is known to be self-contained, will be portraying the role of Goo Ji Sub. In the drama, Goo Ji Sub acts irritable and hard on people, however, he still takes care of others. Although he is a “bad boy” character who pretends not to care, he proves his hidden affection by showing that he is understanding of every situation.

Earlier, it was announced that actress Song Yoon Ah will be making her return to the small screen with this drama, as she will be playing the role of a single mother who finds out that she has a limited time to live.

“Fearless Mama” will be airing its first episode in early August, following the end of “Hotel King.”
