On June 23, news about Song Ji Hyo's contract expiration has erupted and there have been speculations about the actress leaving C-Jes Entertainment and entering the "free agent" (FA) market. However, C-Jes Entertainment said that those are baseless rumors and denied that the actress is on the lookout for a new management company.

"At the time that Song Ji Hyo received an inquiry regarding the FA market, we explained that 'We do not have an exclusive contract with her however, we do have a verbal agreement based on trust,' discounting Song Ji Hyo's transfer as groundless rumors," said C-Jes Entertainment.

"Through the false reports that weren't confirmed directly with the actress, inquiries from the projects and advertisements that are preparing their contracts with Song Ji Hyo are flooding in, causing trouble in our daily operation," C-Jes Entertainment added.

Earlier on June 23, one report quoted an entertainment insider, saying, "Song Ji Hyo and C-Jes Entertainment has decided to walk separate ways."

Song Ji Hyo made her debut in 2003 through the movie "Wishing Stairs." She has gained recognition in her movie "Frozen Flower" and the dramas "Princess Hours" and "Ju Mong." Currently, she is the only female mainstay of the hit SBS variety program "Running Man." The actress has joined C-Jes Entertainment in 2011.
