Recommended Posts

Taeyang’s “Eyes, Nose, Lips,” is still sitting at the top of the music charts. June 16 marks two weeks since the release of Taeyang’s “Rise” album, and “Eyes, Nose, Lips” still reigns, at the top of the charts for Melon, Genie, and Naver Music.

For the period from June 9-15, “Eyes, Nose, Lips” was number the number one streamed song on Melon, and the album “Rise” hit number one for two weeks running, as well, in an aggregate top 20 album chart. Moreover, Taeyang previously became the first Korean male artist to step foot on the American Billboard 200 chart, at number 112.

“Eyes, Nose, Lips” is a slow R&B track for which Taeyang personally participated in the lyric writing. The song, in contrast to his previous songs, has its focus on Taeyang’s voice rather than his dancing. The music video for the song has already reached over 6.9 million views on YouTube, testament to its extreme popularity.
