In honor of Father's Day (June 15, 2014), here are some stellar K-drama dads to remind you just how awesome your dad really is! 

2010 ”Giant"

Jo Pil Yeon (Jung Bo Seok)

Kills a man, beats his son, knows no shame.

(He pretty much might be the most evil K-drama dad ever.)

2010 ”Mary Stayed Out All Night"

Wi Dae Han (Park Sang Myun)

Wants daughter to marry his rich friend's son so they can pay their debts.

(Potentially bordering on selling people, but nobody's dying, so that's good.)

2011 ”City Hunter"

Lee Jin Pyo (Kim Sang Joong)

Raises a boy to kill his own father.

(Some quality bonding time with Dad.)

2013 “Gu Family Book"

Gu Wol Ryung (Choi Jin Hyuk)

Tries to kill his son.

(More quality bonding time. But he's really a good guy. When he's not a bad guy.)

2013 ”Scandal: Shocking and Wrongful Incident" 

Ha Myung Geun (Jo Jae Hyun)

Kidnaps someone else's son for revenge, albeit that other guy killed his son. Still, why pull an innocent boy into this?

(People are just chock full of great ideas these days.)

2013 ”The Heirs"

Kim Nam Yoon (Jung Dong Hwan)

Tries to find the best way to humiliate the women his sons love. And sends family members to the United States whenever he pleases.

(But then Tan might've never met Cha Eun Sang, so I guess that turned out.)

2013 “Empress Ki"

Yeon Chul (Jeon Gook Hwan)

Will do anything and everything for power. He might have been a protective (?) father to his kids, but overall, the man was evil.

(Runs in the family...)

2011 "Dream High"

Go Byung Jik (Park Hyuk Kwon)

Leaves his kids alone to fend for themselves while he hides from loan sharks.

(K-drama dads, the source of all angst.)

2014 “Angel Eyes"

Yoon Jae Beom (Jung Jin Young)

Kills someone so his blind daughter can have their eyes, and then acts as a father to the child of the woman he killed.

(Making good life decisions since 1989.)

2014 ”Doctor Stranger"

Oh Joon Gyu (Jeon Gook Hwan)

Cares more for the reputation of the hospital than the patients in it. Likes to keep his son and daughter in competition against one another.

(Power hungry. Never gets old.)
