EXO Kris' Lawsuit Against SM Goes to Arbitration, May End Early

Recommended Posts

It looks like it may be possible for EXO Kris’ lawsuit against SM to come to an early conclusion. According to the Seoul Central District Court on June 11, Kris’ lawsuit for cancellation of his exclusive contract was forwarded to arbitration this past June 9.

This is an early arbitration, taking place before the start of official court appearances. It takes about two months for the case to move to the court room following the submission of a complaint, and in that period, with this arbitration, the parties involved will attempt to come to an agreement. If Kris and SM fail to reach an understanding, the case will proceed as planned.

On May 15, Kris filed a lawsuit for termination of his contract with SM Entertainment, his representation stating that SM violated Kris’ basic civil rights and neglected his ambitions as an artist, among other things.
