Newsie
On May 11, rock band Cherry Filter released their new song “Andromeda.” They said, “We want people to have a lot of fun listening to the song. Honestly, there’s no need to explain the song. It’s like taking a refreshing respite from the routine of everyday life.” Cherry Filter, who had huge success with their 2002 release “Romantic Cat,” is back for their first comeback in four years after “Showtime” in 2010. Their single album, “Andromeda,” is set apart from the standards of ranking music, stepping into the realm of black comedy. The band’s agency said, “’Andromeda,’ with its strengths in the melody and dynamic rhythm that Cherry Filter produces, is a very light album. It has a vibe that might even be comparable to Latin festival music. Because they wanted to make the album like a soundtrack for a movie or cartoon, the overall effect of the album is unique and fresh.” Cherry Filter will be holding a showcase today at 11AM at the Rolling Hall in Hongdae for their new release.
