Wednesday Drama Programming Affected by Election Coverage

Recommended Posts

Due to the ongoing nationwide, local elections and its media coverage on June 4 in Korea, television programming is affected.

MBC will be covering the elections throughout the day and into the evening, causing the postponement of the daily drama "Shining Romance," "Mother's Garden," and its Wednesday-Thursday primetime drama, "A New Leaf." Late night talk show "Radio Star" has been double slotted with a special edition of "MBC News 24," which means MBC will be making a last minute decision on what to air.

SBS will not air any of its evening dramas tonight, including its popular Wednesday-Thursday primetime drama, "You're All Surrounded." It's Wednesday entertainment news program "One Night of TV Entertainment" has also been canceled.

KBS, which has 2 channels, 1TV and 2TV, will air most of the election coverage on 1TV, allowing its dramas and variety shows to maintaining regular programming on 2TV. SISTAR's Dasom's drama, "Melody of Love," which airs on 1TV will be postponed for June 4.
