Song Kang Ho, Yoo Ah In, Moon Geun Young Confirmed for New Movie "Sado"

Upcoming period film "Sado: Memory of 8 Days" has confirmed its star-studded casting.

Distributor Showbox Media Plex announced on May 26 that Song Kang Ho, Yoo Ah In, Moon Geung Young, Kim Hae Sook, Park Won Sang, and Jun Hye Jin have been confirmed as part of the cast for "Sado."

Song Kang Ho will play the role of Yeongjo, a man who went through various challenges to become the King of Joseon. Yoo Ah In, who recently received critical acclaim for his work in drama "Secret Love Affair," will play Yeongjo's son Crown Prince Sado, who was sentenced to death by starvation in a large chest by his own father. The Prince died of suffocation after eight days in the chest. 

Moon Geung Young will appear as Prince Sado's wife Lady Hyegyeong. This is her big screen comeback in eight years.

"Sado" will be directed by director Lee Joon Ik who also directed "The King And The Clown" and "Wish." It will go into productions this summer.
