"Walking Dead" Steven Yeun to Star in Movie Adaptation of "The Aquariums of Pyongyang"

Korean-American actor Steven Yeun of "Walking Dead" will  be bringing attention to the human rights situation in North Korea through a movie. 

The news was first reported by the Hollywood Reporter. "The Aquariums of Pyongyang" is based on the autobiographical book about Kang Chol Hwan, a defector from North Korea who survived ten years in a concentration camp. His book tells not only his story, but the horrific conditions of the concentrations camps and reality of life inside North Korea. 

Steven Yeun is the executive producer and will play the main character, Chol Hwan. He will be working with Radar Pictures, the company behind Hollywood movies such as "Riddick" and "Spring Breakers," to spread more awareness about what's happening in North Korea by bring this story to the big screen.
