Girl Hood Appears on Japanese TV Program, Sets Eyes on China

Recommended Posts

The four-women “ajumma” group Girl Hood is receiving a lot of attention in Japan.

Girl Hood's label SC Entertainment announced on May 18 that the group had appeared on Fuji TV's current events program “Nonstop” in an episode which dealt with the popular Japanese group AKB48 as well as group's impact on Korean housewives. According to SC Entertainment, the “Nonstop” panel analyzed Girl Hood in a playful fashion, joking that “the member's husbands are really pitiable” and that the group could cause a societal problem if more housewives set out to chase their dreams instead of doing housework.

Not content with sticking to Japan and Korea, the members of Girl Hood also have their eyes set on China. A representative stated that “Girl Hood has been requested as a guest on some recent Chinese shows, and is in the midst of preparing some projects for the Chinese market. The group is planning both to release a new song and to be active in China by June.”

Girl Hood debuted last month with their digital single album “Husband, I Love You.” The group is expected to release a second single some time next month.
