Big Bang’s new album is making waves before it has even been released, with American cable television station Fuse TV selecting it as one of its “25 Most Anticipated 2014 Summer Albums.” The list appeared in the form of an article on the music channel’s website.

Big Bang rub shoulders with a host of top-level international musicians on the list, including the likes of Coldplay, Lana Del Rey, Cher Lloyd and Mariah Carey. The channel expects Big Bang’s forthcoming material to have a more urban musical feel than previous releases. The writer explains, “If [G-Dragon’s] past creations are any indication, we’re expecting more forward-thinking EDM and R&B tracks.”

Members Daesung, Seungri, and G-Dragon have all released solo material since the last full-group project, and Taeyang is also slated to make a solo comeback in the near future. Many fans, however, have been eagerly anticipating the return of the entire band.

The new album, as yet unnamed, is being largely written by G-Dragon. It will be the boy band’s first music release as a group since the mini-album “Alive,” featuring the song “Fantastic Baby,” was released in early 2012.
