Son Ho Jun to Join Cast of Upcoming Drama “Trot Lovers”

Actor Son Ho Jun is set to star as a would-be Trot singer in upcoming KBS drama “Trot Lovers,” which will hit screens sometime in June.

Son Ho Jun will be playing a supporting role in the drama. He will be acting as a music agency manager who harbors secret ambitions of becoming a Trot singer. The character’s name is Seol Tae Song, an amalgamation of the names of three Trot superstars: Seol Woon Do, Tae Jin Ah and Song Dae Kwan.

Son Ho Jun’s stock has been rising since he appeared in hit tvN drama “Reply 1994.” He is also set to star in an forthcoming movie entitled “Big Match,” alongside Lee Jung Jae and singer BoA.

Also confirmed in the cast list are actors Shin Sung Rok and Ji Hyun Woo. Rumors are continuing to circulate that singer IU may star in the drama, too, in the role of a genial songwriter.
