Newsie
T-ara star Jiyeon’s long-awaited solo album will be released May 20, it has been confirmed. The album had originally been set for an April release, but was postponed as a result of the Sewol ferry disaster, which saw most singers and music shows suspend their schedules. Jiyeon will also begin promoting the single “1MIN1SEC,” written by Duble Sidekick. Two teasers and photos taken from the music video had been posted prior to the Sewol incident, but fans will be pleased to know that the delay is over and the star’s solo debut is now back on track. Indeed, fans had been left in suspense and anticipation as to what sort of concept Jiyeon’s debut would take. Some of the images released in April showed Jiyeon looking girlish and innocent, while others revealed a much raunchier image. K-pop fans can expect a month full of exciting female solo performances this May, with Secret’s Hyosung, G.NA, and fellow T-ara member Hyomin set to release solo material.
