g.o.d Is Back in Classic 'Groove Over Dose' Style with "The Lone Duckling" Single

Recommended Posts

The boys, no, men of first generation idol group g.o.d (Groove Over Dose) is back!

The group, complete with all five members (Kim Tae Woo, Son Ho Young, Danny Ahn, Park Joon Hyung, and Yoon Kye Sang), has released their reunion single ahead of their full album release in July, along with their 15th anniversary concert series.

The single is title "The Lone Duckling" and brings the voices of all five members together in one song, which has been heard in 12 years. The group debuted in 1998,  and member Yoon Kye Sang left g.o.d in 2002, and the rest of the members continued on as g.o.d until 2006.

"The Lone Duckling" is produced by Duble Sidekick, and compares the loneliness and pain one feels to a "ugly duckling." The song is reminiscent of classic g.o.d ballads a la their hits "Lie" and "Road," with the vocals of Kim Tae Woo, Son Ho Young, and Yoon Kye Sang, and the classic talking rap style of Danny Ahn and Park Joon Hyung.

CJ E&M hit has uploaded the official single audio onto its Youtube account. Check out it below, and tell us what you think!
