Newsie
At the May 5 broadcast of SBS variety program "Healing Camp," comedian Lee Dong Woo, who has lost his eyesight due to a retina disease, said his dream is to see his daughter Ji Woo even for five minutes. "My dream is clearly for my eyes to open again. The world's greatest scientists study not only this disease but the world's existing rare and incurable diseases, and are reporting good clinical results," he shared. When asked what he would want to see first if his dream of seeing again comes true, the comedian said, "I know how beautiful my wife is, but I don't know what my daughter Ji Woo now looks like. I know this is something that only happens in the books so I don't wish for it anymore but if I can be allowed even five minutes, I want to see Ji Woo. I really want to see how beautifully she has grown." He then followed with an advice to other people with diseases, "A person in pain has the right to tell another person in pain. It's important that they both talk about how they are 'in pain.' And to their family, they should actively go to the hospital and talk to the sick." "Don't always stay at home and if possible, have conversations with a lot of people. Which part hurts, that your heart feels lonely and alone, just confess everything without stopping," he advised.
