Han Ye Seul to Advance into Chinese Market

Actress Han Ye Seul will be earnestly advancing into the Chinese market of 1.3 billion people.

She will be supported by Zenith Media Content and Zelix Company, a Chinse investment firm. President Kang Joon, who originated as a president for a company under SM Entertainment, established Zenith Media Contents. The two companies joined together and formed a branch company in Shanghai, China. After establishing the branch office, major entertainment companies in China such as DMG Entertainment and Pegasus Entertainment cooperated and invested 30 billion won (~ $30 million USD). 

Zenith Media is an investor in DMG Entertainment and Pegasus Entertainment, and president Zhang Xun of a Shanghai Scientific Investment Firm gave his utmost support for this grand-scale project to be successful.

President Kang Jun revealed "DMG Entertainment jointly cooperated with Walt Disney Company for the global hit "Iron Man 3," and Pegasus Entertainment has considerable influence in China as a film distributor and drama production company."

He continued, "Meeting the correct overseas partners for an overseas advancement is important. However, Zenith Media Contents constructed a powerful overseas network not for its own success, but for Korean content companies that plan to advance into China in the future. Zenith Media Contents is fulfilling this role for the advancement of the Hallyu wave, not just for the success of our company."

Zenith Media Contents' original specialties were events, concerts, musicals and promotions. In 2013, the biggest hit was SBS's "Queen of Ambition," a series created with Verdi Media.

Han Ye Seul signed a contract with the popular SB Entertainment label last year. In addition to Han Ye Seul, SB Entertainment is preparing Chinese activities for the majority of its actors and plans to debut a K-Pop group in China.

People are looking forward to how Zenith Media Contents, Verdi Media and SB Entertainment will showcase Han Ye Seul's ability in the massive Chinese market.
