Go Ara is preparing for yet another transformation.

The actress will be returning to the small screen through the new SBS Wednesday – Thursday drama, “You’re All Surrounded,” which begins airing on May 7.

Go Ara debuted with a middle school student role in the teen drama, “Sharp.” She portrayed a high jumper in the film “Pacemaker,” a sports reporter in the drama “Heading to the Ground,” and an enthusiast fan girl in the drama, “Reply 1994,” undergoing constant transformations through taking on various roles.

In the new drama, Go Ara will be playing a female police detective. She has a messy personality and can be slow-witted, but she has intolerance to injustice.

Go Ara plans to break away from her Sung Na Jung image from her previous project, “Reply 1994,” and to grow and improve further as an actress. She is also making efforts to building her physical strength in order to fully portray her character of a female detective. She is practicing and working hard to act out the action scenes since her character has a black belt in judo.

According to the production staff, “She has gone under a perfect transformation through her new character, and you won’t be able to see Go Ara’s past image. She is pulling off many difficult action scenes that could be difficult for even male actors to handle.”
