Newsie Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Due to the Sewol Ferry tragedy that occurred on April 16, weekend variety programs have been cancelled for April 19 and 20. KBS, MBC, and SBS announced on April 19, they would be cancelling all variety shows due to the continuance of the sorrow and mourning that is taking place throughout Korea following the Sewol Ferry tragedy. On April 19, KBS 2TV’s “Immortal Songs,” “Entertainment Weekly,” and “Human Condition” will be cancelled. On MBC, “We Got Married,” and “Infinity Challenge” will be cancelled.” And on SBS, “Star Junior Show Bungeoppang,” and “Star King” will be cancelled. Cultrual program, “I Want to Know It” was originally scheduled to air, but it will be replaced with a news report. On April 20, KBS 2TV’s “Happy Sunday – Superman Returns, 1 Night 2 Days,” “Gag Concert” MBC’s “Section TV Entertainment Relay,” “Sunday Night – Daddy, Where Are We Going? Real Men,” and SBS’ “1000 Song Challenge,” and “Good Sunday – Roommate, Running Man” will be cancelled. Cable channels will also not be broadcasting variety shows. tvN’s “SNL Korea,” “Uncle Romance,” and “Comedy Big League” will all be cancelled.
