Sunny Talks about Girls’ Generation, Greed, and Growing Up

Recommended Posts

Girls’ Generation’s Sunny recently held an interview where she talked about her group promoting together and taking on individual projects.

“We’re pretty much no different from family,” started Sunny. “We cheer on the members in whatever they do. We realize that even individual activities will, in the end, be seen as a side of Girls’ Generation. We’re always cheering for ourselves [during individual activities].”

It would be a lie if the members of Girls’ Generation never faced any problems since they made their debut in 2007. Although they have made great strides in their group and individual careers, all members can’t have the spotlight at the same time. Sunny agreed and shed some light with her insight, “Rather than saying we were jealous, all nine of us had a lot of greed and tried to take care of our own activities. We had a strong desire to make our presence known more than another member in the group.”

Sunny went on, “We all had different thoughts like, ‘I can do this, I want to do this, I want to sing a solo, I want to act.’ However, there came a time when we started to understand one another. We now know what this person will do well, which activities will help Girls’ Generation. Now, we encourage one another to go take on the activities. We don’t have room to be jealous.”
