Akdong Musician Sweeps Music Charts with “200%” Throughout the Week

Sibling duo, Akdong Musician, has taken No.1 on various music charts and continues to remain strong on the charts.

As of 11AM KST April 14, “200%,” the title song of Akdong Musicians first album, “Play,” has taken the No.1 spot on various music charts including Melon, Mnet, Olleh Music, Soribada, Genie, Monkey 3, Naver Music, Daum Music, and Bugs.

“200%” is a track with a lively and rhythmical melody. The song was released on April 7 at noon, and it has swept charts since its release. The song tells the story of a person preparing all night to confess to the person he/she likes but can’t say anything when the moment comes because he/she is so nervous.

Other tracks featured in the album including “Give Love,” and “Melted” are also maintaining top ranks in charts. It seems Akdong Musician’s stronghold will continue.

The 11 tracks included Akdong Musician’s first album, “Play,” were all composed by Lee Chan Hyuk. The tracks display a pure sense of music and are characterized by ideas gained from day-to-day experiences.

Meanwhile, Akdong Musician stood on their official debut stage on the April 6 broadcast of “K-Pop Star 3.” The group will be actively promoting through appearances on various music programs.
