Recommended Posts

Duo TVXQ continue to show themselves as top sellers with their Japanese album "Tree"! Not only did the album top the daily album sales chart on Oricon on the day of its release on March 5 and the weekly chart on its first week, but it has also ranked number one on the monthly chart.

"Tree" sold 252,155 units, according to Oricon, outselling all others for the month of March. TVXQ previously broke the record set by American rock band Bon Jovi 13 years ago with "Tree." The album sold around 225,000 units in its first week of release, making it TVXQ’s third studio album to sell over 200,000 units in its first week. Bon Jovi had sold over 200,000 units in a week for two straight albums in a row 13 years and 10 months ago. TVXQ sold over 200,o00 units in the first week for three straight albums in a row as a foreign artist.

TVXQ also holds another record on Oricon as the foreign artist with the most number one singles on Oricon’s weekly album sales charts. They have had 12 of their singles place on top.

TVXQ embarks on their Arena/Dome tour in Japan April 22, hitting 11 cities for a total of 29 performances.
