Yoo Jae Suk's New Show "I'm a Man" Gets Off to a Decent Start

Recommended Posts

It's been nearly four years since the "Nation's MC," Yoo Jae Suk, has helmed a new show. That recently changed when he took the helm of KBS's new pilot program "I'm a Man." There were some concerns prior to the airing of the first episode in regards to how well the show would perform in a difficult time slot. Those concerns were put to bed, however, with a respectable 4.1% rating for its first episode.

I'm A Man

According to ratings firm AGB Nielson Korea, KBS's new male-oriented talk show "I'm a Man" achieved ratings of 4.1% during its Wednesday night time slot. Fellow competitor programs, MBC's "Radio Star" and SBS's "Oh My Baby," got 4.9% and 4.6%, respectively. While this places "I'm a Man" last in this highly competitive time slot, the difference is extremely minor and being competitive with a veteran program like "Radio Star" is a great start for the pilot program.

I'm A Man

"I'm a Man" is a new pilot talk show being trialled by KBS in response to the growing number of popular "risque" talk shows currently on air like "Witch Hunt" and "War of Words." The program's concept can be summarised as "A show by Men, for Men, about Men."

Yoo Jae Suk

Along with Yoo Jae Suk, the MC lineup consists of actor Lim Won Hee and entertainer Noh Hong Chul, with the first episode's guests comprising of ZE:A's Im Si Wan, comedian Huh Kyung Hwan, Jang Dong Min, and miss A's Suzy.

Whether the show becomes a part of KBS's official spring schedule remains to be seen.
