Recommended Posts

Four-member vocal group 2AM's management contract with agency Bit Hit Entertainment has come to an end.

A rep from Big Hit Entertainment stated to Joy News 24, "The management cooperation contract between JYP [Entertainment] and Big Hit [Entertainment] in regards to 2AM ended early this month."

The rep explained, "It was reported earlier as if an exclusive contract with 2AM ended, but that is not the truth.  JYP always held the exclusive contract with 2AM, and Big Hit bore most of the group's management work due to our business cooperation contract with JYP."

The rep continued, "Big Hit will continue handling 2AM's Japanese activities and concerts, and management will be dealt with by JYP. We will continue to manage Changmin, however, due to his individual activities that were already under preparation."

As such, the management of Jo Kwon, Im Seulong, and Jung Jinwoon has passed over to JYP Entertainment. Only Changmin remains under Big Hit Entertainment due to ongoing activities already scheduled.

The Big Hit Entertainment rep assured that there is will be no changes to 2AM's activities: "There will be no change or disruption in 2AM's activities."

2AM last album release - "Nocturne" - was in November of last year (2013). Since then, the members have been busy with individual activities. Im Seulong is currently appearing in the drama "Hotel King," and Jung Jinwoon is in the SBS variety program "SNS Expedition."
