B.A.P's Himchan Charms "Star King" with Traditional Drumming Skills

B.A.P's Himchan has confirmed that he is not simply a pretty face, but actually a very knowledgeable musician with training in traditional Korean music!

On the April 5 episode of SBS' "Star King," the idol held a short drumming performance, surprising the guests and viewers of the show with his talent.

Contrary to Himchan's carefree and humorous image, he has practiced traditional Korean drumming since middle school, and has polished his skills along the way. Not only did he perform a beautiful fusion song, but also showcased a remake of B.A.P's "No Mercy" while drumming and dancing in a traditional manner.

Park Hye Mi commented in awe, "It was very cool. The double-headed drum is not even the main instrument, but Himchan made it impressive. I fell for his backside."

For six years, the idol focused on playing traditional Korean instruments, and even received scholarships for his efforts. He was accepted to the percussion instrument division of Korea National University of Arts, which is known for accepting only two students every year, confirming the skill level of Himchan.
