Newsie
2NE1’s “Come Back Home” becomes our new No. 1 song this week, swapping positions with Girls’ Generation’s “Mr. Mr.” “Come Back Home” won on M!Countdown and also ranked higher than “Mr. Mr.” on GAON, Billboard Korea, and most internet charts, enabling 2NE1 to claim the top spot over Girls’ Generation. Congratulations to 2NE1. Next week we expect these two songs to battle again for the top spot. There are two new songs in the top 10 this week, both are from sub-units. Moving up 20 spots to No. 3 is Orange Caramel’s “Catallena.” The After School sub-unit returns to the top 10 for the first time in one and a half year. “Catallena” is an Indian style dance track inspired by a Punjabi folk song “Jutti Meri.” It’s funky guitar and string sound make you want to get up and dance. “Catallena” is the name of a charming woman despite her being childish and unfriendly. Orange Caramel’s last hit song “Lipstick” went to No. 1 on our chart. Let see if “Catallena” can do the same. Moving up 13 spots to No. 8 is “Delicious” from To Heart. This male duo was formed by the combination of Infinite’s Woohyun and SHINee’s Key. “Delicious,” which is the title track of their mini album, has an addictive melody with pop and funky sound. Woohyun and Key show their individual charms in this song.
