Jun Ji Hyun Beats out Kim Yuna and Suzy as the Most Preferred CF Model

Actress Jun Ji Hyun has overtaken figure skating queen Kim Yuna and miss A’s Suzy as the most preferred CF model.

According to the Korea Institute of Advertising on March 25, Jun Ji Hyun placed first in a CF model preference survey in February, garnering 14.85% of voters’ support. This was a step up from her second-placed ranking in January.

Kim Yuna and Suzy have had a firm hold on first and second place in the rankings for female CF models for a while now. However, Jun Ji Hyun has gained footing from the popularity of SBS drama “Man from the Stars,” which thrust her back into the mainstream, earning prime CF spots for drinks, clothing and telecommunication companies.

Kim Yuna trailed after Jun Ji Hyun in second place with 12.63% of votes, down from her first place finish last month. Suzy was third with 6.03% support, while Lee Seung Gi came in fourth with 4.76%. Jun Ji Hyun’s “Man from the Stars” co-star Kim Soo Hyun was ranked fifth (though he is all the rage in China). The two recently inked an endorsement deal for Samsung Electronics in China.

Jun Ji Hyun's turn as the wacky, self-absorbed but ultimately lovable Chun Song Yi has reinforced, if not cemented, her status as screen goddess. Hopefully we will be seeing more of her on screen in the near future!
