Weekly K-Pop Music Chart 2014 – March Week 4

Recommended Posts

Girls’ Generation’s “Mr. Mr.” becomes our new No. 1 song this week, moving up from No. 3 last week. Carrying the strength of four music show wins in last week’s M!Countdown, KBS Music Bank, MBC's Music Core and Show Champion, “Mr. Mr.” finally moves up to the top spot and distinguish itself from the rest of the strong competitions. Congratulations to Girls’ Generations.

Moving up two spots to No. 2 is 2NE1’s “Come Back Home.” This song won on  SBS Inkigayo last week and prevented “Mr. Mr.” from sweeping all music shows. “Come Back Home” was not yet ranked in M!Countdown yet as of last week, and that explains the gap in scoring between this song and “Mr. Mr.”

We only have one brand new song in the top 10 this week and it is right below the top two. Moving up 21 spots to No. 3 is Lyn’s “Missing You…Crying,” the title track from her eighth full length album “Le Grand Bleu.” Lyn’s popularity has increased recently due to her song “My Destiny” from the OST of the mega drama “You Who Came From The Stars.” “Missing You…Crying” has a piano arranged melody that starts out calm and become more powerful. It fits well with Lyn’s natural vocal, creating a melancholy mood. This song has leaped over CNBlue’s “Can’t Stop” and Soyu x JungGiGo’s four-week champion “Some” into the top three and also into the mix of No. 1 challengers for next week.
