Kim Woo Bin Goes on a Date with Short Track Gold Medalist Shim Suk Hee

Lucky girl! Short track skater and gold medalist Shim Suk Hee was able to meet her ideal man, actor Kim Woo Bin.

News outlet Sports Seoul captured the athlete and actor having dinner together at a Japanese restaurant in Seoul. The two had originally planned to meet at an Italian restaurant, but changed locations last minute when word got out. Shim Suk Hee arrived at the restaurant first, and Kim Woo Bin and his entourage arrived thirty minutes later. Sports Seoul reports that Shim Suk Hee seemed shy but excited when the two first met. The atmosphere during the dinner seemed bright and energetic.

At the end of the dinner, the two exchanged phone numbers and even took a picture together. Kim Woo Bin escorted Shim Suk Hee, like a gentleman, out of the restaurant and the two exchanged a warm handshake, initiated by Kim Woo Bin. After politely saying good bye to the other people in both parties, the two went their separate ways. 

Shim Suk Hee would be just a normal high school girl (she was born in 1997) if she wasn't also an Olympic athlete with plenty of medals to her name. She won gold, silver, and bronze medals at the 2014 Winter Olympics in various events for speed skating. With her athletic talents and cute looks, Shim Suk Hee was one of the most popular Olympic athletes in Korea. Not too long ago, she went on a radio program and confessed that Kim Woo Bin was her ideal type and that she "just likes him, with no specific reason." It looks like it was set up so that she could meet her ideal man and go on a nice, albeit chaperoned, dinner date with the actor.

For those who might be a little confused, this was just a friendly date. Kim Woo Bin is actually dating fashion model Yoo Ji Ahn.
