Actor Kim Myung Min has been confirmed for MBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “A New Leaf,” according to his agency on March 19.

Kim Myung Min will play a genius lawyer, unbeaten in court, who suffers from amnesia following an accident. His character, Kim Suk Joo, is a level-headed, talented lawyer, who will have to reflect on his past and embark on a new journey through life. The legal drama will be a story of Kim Suk Joo’s personal growth.

“A New Leaf” will follow after the currently airing “Cunning Single Lady,” and is the work of writer Choi Hee Ra (“Golden Time”). Casting for the drama’s female lead is still ongoing, and the drama should enter filming at the end of March.

This will mark Kim Myung Min's return following a one-year absence from dramas. His last drama was the 2012 SBS drama “King of Dramas,” which concluded its run at the beginning of 2013.

Kim Myung Min is also preparing for his return to film through "Detective K 2," the sequel to his 2011 movie “Detective K: Secret of the Virtuous Widow,” set in the Joseon Dynasty. The movie is scheduled to begin filming in June.
