Choi Jin Hyuk to Play Lee Soon Jae’s Younger Version in tvN’s “Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit”

Many may be familiar with the variety show, “Grandpa over Flower,” the variety show that follows four grandpas on their trip overseas. Well now, a comedic drama titled “Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit” will broadcast on tvN.

The drama will feature veteran actors Lee Soon Jae, Byun Hee Bong, and Jang Kwang who are young detectives who mysteriously change into grandpas. Actor Choi Jin Hyuk will play the younger version of Lee Soon Jae’s character, Lee Joon Hyuk. Having graduated elite in the police academy, as well as being a part of Mensa with an IQ of 150, Lee Joon Hyuk is on a quest to discover what has caused the sudden aging of the three detectives.

Choi Jin Hyuk is currently filming tvN’s “Emergency Couple,” and has shown his potential to act in a variety of different characters.  Furthermore, actor Park Min Woo will play the younger version of Byun Hee Bong, and Park Doo Shik will play the younger version of Jang Kwang.

It was earlier reported that Super Junior’s Heechul will play the young detective who tries and help the grandpas find their previous younger bodies. “Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit” will be a drama that has comedic value, and will also progress more like a variety show than a drama.
