"Emergency Couple" MV Released for "I Am" Sung By Rookie Ju-A

The music video for the song "I Am” from the popular tvN drama “Emergency Couple” was recently released on March 6. The song was sung by rookie singer Ju-A, who, as a student at singer Kim Bum Soo’s academy, landed the OST with an audition. This is an especially impressive feat that’s not often achieved by rookies in the industry, but Ju-A’s voice was decidedly the best fit for the song,

After being chosen as the singer of “I Am,” the rookie even scored one-on-one mentoring with singer Yoo Sung Eun, who had nothing but good things to say about her. “Ju-A loves music more than anyone, and works so hard. Even though I’m the mentor, there are a lot of things that I’d like to learn from her.”

“I Am” is an emotional ballad that portrays the emotions of a woman who waits for a man that might not come back to her, and was written and composed by the team 5 o’clock, who have worked with artists such as Lee Jung and Na Yoon Kwon. Coupled with some intense scenes from the drama, the music video for the song amplifies the emotions from the drama, and vice versa as well, the drama making the song that much more real and relatable to listeners.
