Hi KWS fans...been watching several drama post MSD. But unfortunately none can make me watch and watch and watch them many many times as i have watched MSD. The lead actors cannot make me screenshot their photos into my phone as i have done for KWS and i have all of 700+ of his photos in my phone. The combination of KWS and MSD are too awesome. The best i have ever encountered so far in my life.

Well, he's just a super-hot kind of guy.  :-)

I still haven't heard anything, about whether he's going to take that role in "Shin Saimdang".  If he's not taking it, there's no news about who *is* taking it.  They're supposed to start filming in June, right?  A decision has to be made soon.

​Yeah. Haven't heard anything about it either, but no news is probably good news? Hehe. I often read about casting news on dramas, and there are many changes before the drama starts shooting. So hopefully, he takes the role. Want to see him real soon!

Actually, one of the Soompi rules is that we can't post potential projects.  We can only post about projects once the blessing ceremony on them has been done, but geez, why shouldn't the KWS thread be an exception, since he doesn't work all that often, anymore.  (And over the last few years he seems to be gaining a history of pulling out of projects that he already agreed to and/or agreeing to projects that don't have enough financial backing, or something, so even if he signed onto "Shin Saimdang," there might be a possibility that he still won't end up being in it.  Lol!  Who knows?)

Have you ever seen any dramas that were recently made on Korean cable?  Here in America, cable TV series have become as good, if not better than our serious films.  If Korea is the same, I'd sure be interested in seeing him do a cable series, there.  I like his early film work because it was edgy, and I like seeing him in edgy roles, in good material.

And last of all, though posted earlier in this thread, it's worth sharing again.  It's my favorite from this photo session.  Woo-Sung looks so little and delicate next to bigger-framed Kim Soo-Ro.  It's very charming. :-)

잘려진 사지가 도처에 널린 전장은 그 자체가 공포라며 전쟁의 광포한 참혹상을 전해준 영화는 국적을 불문하고 그간 많았더랬다. 하지만 전쟁을 배경으로 삼아 그 안에서 공포 장르를 다룬 작품은 의외로 없었던 게 사실이다. 때문에 베트남전 당시 실종된 소대원을 구출하기 위해 R-point’로 급파돼 그곳에서 정체가 묘연한 귀신?을 맞닥뜨린다는 내용의 <알포인트>는 여러 모로 기대를 받으며 주목되고 있다. 

이처럼 국내최초로 베트남전을 소재로 공포영화에 도전하는 <알포인트>는 그 섬뜩한 밀림 속에서 벌어진 저주의 서곡을 본격적으로 알리기 위해 8월 13일 개봉을 앞두고 극한의 공포 한 가운데에 내몰린 소대장 최태인 역의 감우성을 전면에 내세운 포스터 촬영을 7월 2일 영화의 제작사인 씨엔필름 스튜디오에서 감행했다. 

<살인의 추억> <스캔들> <인어공주> 등 수 많은 화제작의 포스터를 담당한 윤형문 사진작가는 본 작업에 착수하기 전 당 포스터의 컨셉에 대해 다음과 같이 설명했다. “아군인지 적군인지 피아의 식별이 불가능한 극한에 상황에 놓인 감우성의 혼란스러우면서도 공포에 사로잡힌 모습을 보이고자 빙의가 들린 존재로 그를 부각시켜 영화의 주제를 집약적이면서 효과적으로 전달하는 것이 주 목적이다.” 

이에 부합하고자 질퍽한 진흙을 온 몸에 드리우고 보기만 해도 언짢은 하얀 특수렌즈를 끼운 채 등장한 감우성은 밀림 속에 내쳐진 싸늘한 시체들을 뒤로 하고 극심한 공포에 휩싸여 오열하는 가련한 자의 처절한 표정과 몸짓으로 카메라 앞에 섰다. 계속되는 촬영 속에 시간이 허락하는 대로 윤형문 작가와 함께 감우성은 “영화가 영화이니만큼 좀 더 강한 임팩트로 나가는 게 좋지 않을까요?”와 같은 의견을 나누며 적극적으로 작업에 임했고, 틈틈이 “영화의 주 로케이션 장소였던 캄보디아로 놀러는 갈지언정 일하러는 더 이상 가고 싶지 않다.”, “너무나도 짧은 시간에 많은 컷을 찍었고, 예측 불가능한 날씨와 45도에 이르는 살인적인 더위 그리고. 산 정상에서 이뤄진 밤 촬영이 많아 더 힘들었다.”, “주 반찬이 파리일 정도였다.”며 열악하기 그지없는 환경의 베트남과 캄보디아에서 해외 로케이션으로 진행된 <알포인트>의 촬영을 마친 소회를 밝혔다. 

<하얀전쟁> <텔미썸딩> <링> 등 스릴러와 공포 영화에서 절륜의 비기의 필력을 선보인 공수창 작가의 감독 입봉작이기에 한껏 더 신뢰가 가는 <알포인트>는 월남전의 밀림 속에서 대관절 무슨 일이 일어났는지 8월 13일 그 저주의 내막을 드러낼 예정이다.
